Double Spout@Heartland Mall

Hey!

Went for breakfast at Double Spout, Heartland Mall just now.
The food was okay but the service sucks to the max.

So we approached the guy at the counter and he just showed us this small menu with the breakfast sets. So my sister asked if we need to order immediately so he was like "ya".
Then he changed his mind and decided we can take our time. So he asked us to take a seat (not showing us to our seats but asking us to walk into the small 'cafe' by ourselves).
Right, so after awhile he took our order and came back with my sis' tea and my coffee. Both with only one packet of sugar and no creamer AT ALL. I mean, which f&b outlet doesn't serve coffee/tea with creamer?! And are they so health conscious that they only give us a pack of sugar?
So I asked the guy again for creamer.
Me: Excuse me...
Guy: What you want? (in the pinoy accent)

I was super put off by this. "What you want?" seriously?! Whatever happened to "Yes, what can I get for you?"

So eventually I got my creamer and got my coffee done the way I like it. Then the food came. My set has scrambled eggs. But hey! No pepper/salt provided. Cmon, I paid $12.90 for this and I can't even get basic condiments? Decided that I was too lazy to ask for them so I just ate my scrambled eggs w/o pepper :(

My sister started to butter her toast. They provided those packet butter, it was fine, only that the butter was so hard we couldn't even spread it properly on the toast. Whuttt. I wonder if they keep their butter in the freezer. :/
Then the pinoy guy decided to be nice and asked if we need help to melt our butter. Why the sudden nice gesture?
After some observation, we found out that the "boss" is here so his service improved in split seconds.
We're not impressed with the "service recovery" at all. It's not even sincere and true? And believe me I'm not being bias just because he's pinoy. I've known of some of them who offer good service.

Basically, they don't know much about service. My sis and I both felt that if they want to survive at a neighbourhood shopping mall with such prices and the small space and limited seats, the best they can do is offer better service.

Faith

Hi.
My life's been a real bore thanks to school. How's yours?
No, I won't be writing about school today. Been whining too much about school and getting nothing done. So it's time to shut up and get into action. Maybe I'll make a checklist of alllll the assignments for this semester so that I'll be motivated to complete them?

Oakham Market tmr with B, hope I'll get some nice stuff *wriggle eyebrows*
Oh and pay will be in tomorrow, another $200+ into my bank. Cool.
But next month I'll be a poor kid again. Didn't work at marmalade or help out at papa's so yea...surviving solely on allowance!

What do you do, when a house isn't quite a home anymore?
B's been encouraging me to hang in there and just bear with it. I'm not being unfilial, but I just don't feel like I belong here anymore.

On a side note, B, don't lose faith in us.
Even if we did fail in the end, we'll know that we've tried to make this work, that's what we agreed on before we got into this, no?
Anyway, I'm pretty sure we can make it through, cause you're special. :)

Alright, I'm off.

Selling! Calvin Klein Undies

Hey! I got these pretty panties from Gmarket but am too fat for them. So I was wondering if anyone wants them.
Got them at only $3.80 so I'm selling at $3.80.
Fake ones of course, but definitely brand new and still in their package.
Click "Ask" under my profile to mail me if you're interested! Here are the colours I have:

Gold + Black

Silver + Purple

Still in their packages!

Size: L (26-28 inch)

I think it'll be pretty and comfy for people who are skinny. So sad I can't wear them. :'(

Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

HEY I'M BACK AGAIN!
As promised, I'll be blogging about the short stay I had at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore.
As most of you would know, my sister works at Four Seasons Hotel and so part of her training programme was to stay at the hotel for one night and basically get herself to familiarise with the operations there.
So she was entitled to dinner at the restaurant, One Ninety, free breakfast room service and lunch at this Chinese restaurant also located in Four Seasons, Jiang-Nan Chun.

So we checked in at around 3 in the afternoon. Here's the beautiful main lobby.

And here's our room! It was huge compared to any other hotels I've ever stayed before.

The view from our room. Not exactly beautiful but yea.

The huge toilet!

Haha, they actually have another toilet bowl to let you wash up after your business. And it's opposite the one you poo in so yea you can actually poo and contemplate if you wanna use it or not. Well if you really want to know, I didn't use it.

Dinner at One Ninety restaurant!

Alaskan King Crab Salad
with mango & avacado

Grilled Hokkaido Scallops
with spanish chorizo, smoked paprika

Grilled Atlantic Sea Bass
with kalamata olives, garden vegetables
san marzano tomato salsa

Australian Beef Tenderloin
with watercress and mashed potato

(THE POTATO WAS SEX)

The sauces that came with my beef tenderloin. Yum.

Went back to our room to this! Amenities sent by my sister's colleague. My favourite nougart!!

The next day we had in-room breakfast. It was awesomeeeee but I was too full from last night to be able to fully enjoy my American breakfast. :(

Here's a picture of it. :)

Sister ordered Japanese breakfast.

Cozy under the blankeyyyy. Watching HIMYM and texting B. :)

And look how round my face became after one night!

Yea. Imagine we even went for dim sum later at lunch time. Hate to say this but really "fat die me".
Haha, I nvr really get why people can feel comfortable saying something so directly translated but I guess there's no better phrase for it.

PS: Regarding the food at One Ninety, some were great, some, not so. I'm not a professional so I thought I wouldn't comment on the taste.

Bittersweet

So I've been down with food poisoning for the past few days and it was truly HELL.
I can't eat anything without feeling nauseated and I can't sleep well with the constant need to rush to the toilet before my liquid poo gets out. Sigh.

Thank god I have the boy, he's been the sweetest.

I hope I'll be well again and will be able to eat like I used to. If not I won't be able to enjoy the weekend. My sister's bringing me to the hotel she works at for a 2D1N stay woohoo! It's like a mini getaway. I know I know, I'll still be in Singapore but hey, Four Seasons Hotel! :D

Aight aight, I need to get to work soon. But Olive's down, just when I'm all hyped to start on my individual presentation. Mann, so many individual assignments this sem, please let us get through them. :(

Back

After months, I finally miss blogging and I finally decided I'm sick of the old url and the old blog with the stupid ads on my tagboard, neverending.
Finally deleted it and this is what I have for now. Yeaaa, I suck at thinking of url names. Needed so much help for my past blogs. I don't really like my current blogskin too, but meh, I might not even come back here so often.

Yes, school has begun, I'm now in my second week of semester 2.2.
Dreading the projects but at the same time, I'm eager to get started on something instead of sitting around all day during the holidays.
Need some time to adjust to my timetable and I'll be good.

Life is better now that I have you.
